[Draft] I affirm my commitment as a public servant to truthfulness in government.

Truthfulness in Government Act

[Draft] Any holder of public office who knowingly or recklessly makes a materially false statement in the exercise or apparent exercise of such office shall be punished as provided [below].

Truthfulness in Government Amendment

[Draft] No person holding any public office shall knowingly or recklessly make a materially false statement in the exercise or apparent exercise of such office.

The Congress shall have the power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.

America cannot be truly great without truthfulness in government.
